Welcome to El Scento. These Terms & Policy explain the rules for using our website and how we handle your personal information when you shop with us. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
Terms of Use
Using our website
You may browse and purchase from elscento.com (or our staging domain) for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing. You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content at scale, interfere with checkout or security, or use the site for unlawful purposes.
Accounts
You may checkout as a guest or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Products & authenticity
We sell genuine fragrances sourced from trusted suppliers and authorized distributors. Product images, descriptions, notes, and wear guidance are provided for information. Minor packaging or batch variations may occur between manufacturers. We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or cancel orders affected by pricing or stock errors (with a full refund if payment was taken).
Orders, pricing & payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation email. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and include applicable taxes where stated. We use secure third-party payment processors; we do not store full card details on our servers. Promotional codes and sale prices apply only as described and may be withdrawn at any time.
Shipping & delivery
Shipping options, costs, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Once dispatched, risk passes to you when the carrier accepts the parcel, except where local consumer law provides otherwise. Returns & refunds
Because fragrances are hygiene-sensitive once opened, we can only accept returns on unopened, unused items in original packaging within 5 days of delivery, unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong product.
- Eligible: sealed bottles/boxes, wrong item sent, damaged in transit (report within 48 hours with photos).
- Not eligible: opened bottles, decants or samples once delivered, items marked final sale, or returns after the return window.
- Process: contact us first with your order number; do not send products back without approval.
- Refunds: approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the item. Original shipping is non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and handle personal data in line with applicable law, including Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) where it applies.

- Order details: name, billing/shipping address, email, phone, items purchased, payment status.
- Account data: login email and preferences if you register.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Fragrance descriptions, longevity, and wear guidance are approximate and may vary by skin chemistry and environment. The site is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence where applicable.
